PURPLE EAR TREATMENT
BEFORE USE: Evaluate the ears before treatment. If they are inflamed, sore, or wounded, do not attempt to pull down hair or remove debris with ear wipes. Instead, just use the purple ear treatment until the soreness has resolved. If they are wounded, use iodine solution to gently treat the wounds.
HOW TO USE: Shake the bottle before using. Squirt a dropperful of the purple ear treatment into the ear canal. Massage the canal for about 30-60 seconds. Then, gently wipe the inside of the ear with a cotton round. On the first treatment, be very gentle and avoid over-massaging. The dog will shake out the excess liquid, dislodging debris, which can then be wiped with a cotton pad, wipe, or tissue.
SCHEDULE OF USE: Use once daily for a week during an active infection. The next week, use every other day. After that, switch to as needed or once every few weeks for maintenance.
OTHER TIPS: Consistent regular ear applications are imperative for treatment success. Those who do not have success usually have not done the treatment long enough or have not been regular about using it. In the spring and summer months, you may need to use more regularly as bacteria thrive in a warm wet environment. For prevention, use after swimming, bathing your dog, or anytime the ears may get wet.
